ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY:

As a result of continued growth, McDougall Energy is looking for a high energy, results-focused individual as a Project Management Office & Continuous Improvement Manager reporting to the VP Information Technology, Marketing and CI. The PMO & CI Manager will provide leadership and support for moderate to highly complex projects of mid- to large scope, across multiple sites, with multiple teams. The PMO & CI Manager is responsible for applying their understanding of lean six-sigma methodology to focus on leading and supporting process improvements across the organization.

  • Provide leadership for the establishment of effective corporate project methodology/frameworks, governance, process, standards, reporting, training, certification practices and principles
  • Required to manage multiple projects concurrently and responsible for the planning, development, and coordination of all aspects of these assigned projects including monitoring the deliverables of each team to ensure milestone and on-budget completion
  • Responsible for identifying opportunities for improving business processes
  • Responsible for training and mentoring the CI Team members; maintaining and revising CI training materials
  • Responsible for prioritizing, selecting and charting high-impact projects while maintaining the integrity of the CI measurements

ABOUT YOU:

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) designation
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited University in Business Analysis, Business, Information Technology, Operations Managers or related field
  • Proven track record in creating and management of a Project Management Office
  • Demonstrated experience with the execution and implementation of Continuous Improvement (lean methodology)
  • Minimum 5 years of Project Management experience; experience managing a portfolio of projects and programs an asset
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a Project Management framework
  • Demonstrated ability to build cohesive teams, naturally motivate and influence others
  • Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain successful cross-functional working relationships
  • Strong organization and prioritization skills; committed to deadlines
  • Superior communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Up to date with current technologies and trends
  • Demonstrated success in living the values of McDougall Energy
  • Strong understanding of Privacy and Confidentiality in the workplace
